Not sure which steps come first?

Fear not, The Beauty Phase is here to guide you! =D

The 4 Steps Regime: CETM

Cleansing: Choose a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type (Normal, Combination, Oily, Sensitive). There are many forms of cleansers around as well: cream, foam, gel, mousse. However, please know that ALL cleansers will strip us of moisture, so you still need to apply products (carry on reading) to regain back the level.

Exfoliating: This step should be done on a weekly basis: 1 to 2 times a week. Exfoliating wash comes with names like scrubs, peeling pack (most korean products call it), exfoliating wash etc. Some people wonder why their skin looks so dull, this is because your face is covered with layers and layers of dead tissues, formed after our skin renews and regenerates. In order to reveal the hidden skin, you have to scrub the dead layer off. I guarantee you will see result after you exfoliate!

Toning: Toner is very important in our skincare routine. After cleansing, our face will be stripped off its moisture and ph level. In order to recover to its normal moisture and ph level, our skin needs at least an hour. Toner immediately regain back these lost properties, thus allowing better absorption of any moisturiser, serum or essence we use later on. It also helps to refine and tightens pores in the long run.

Moisturising: This is one step that everybody should never skip, regardless whether you are oily skin or dry skin. In our daily activities, we lose our moisture through ways like perspiring, toilet, or it simply got "donated" into the atmosphere especially in air-conditioned room. Thus, we should moisturise no matter how busy we are, including hands, lips and body if possible.

Emulsion (Lotion) type: suitable for oily or prone to acne skin, and combination skin (mild dryness).

Cream type: suitable for dry skin and combination skin ( serious dryness such as flaky skin).

*Extra*

Mask: This is to replace moisturiser after your weekly exfoliating step! As exfoliator is a scrubbing wash, it causes dryness and tightness on our skin, meaning our usual moisturiser is no longer moisturising enough to do its job, hence we need the more advanced tool: MASK. Just take out the mask sheet from its package, apply on face and leave on for 10 to 15 mins (some need up to 30 mins depending on products). after that, remove the sheet and pat the rest of essence into the face. (Besides sheets, there are also wash off, peel off, sleep in masks). Use 1 to 2 times a week.

Remember, do not be lazy when it comes to looking after and maintaining your skin. Just like our body, if we stop exercise, not long later our figure will go back to square one. Persevere on and you will love what you see.. =)

Favorite organic/natural beauty products?
I have been greening up my beauty routine over this past year and am really liking the results. I wanted to see if any of you natural beauty experts out there have any cult favorites or follow any particular lines or products. I wear makeup but prefer it to be naturally pigmented (I don't believe Josie Maran's line is natural for example). Right now I am especially looking to green up my hair conditioner as I use Giovanni Organics Tea Tree Conditioner but I noticed in the ingredients there's alot of junk put in it that makes it not very natural. Any favorites? Thanks in advance... Lynn

Which is better; All natural beauty products or quality cosmetics?
Lately I've been wondering whether I should 'convert' to an all natural beauty care. I came to this thought after reading multiple skin care guides which advise to use absolutely no chemicals when it comes to caring after your beauty. And by all natural I mean making my cosmetics (for skin and hair etc...) myself out of organic food products (this should be easy by following recipes from the internet). But would this be more or less effective in the end? I don't have acne or any other skin issues, although it's not perfect. I'm still wondering if natural organic products can top good cosmetics? What I'm looking for is as healthy beauty care as possible. I'd love to hear reviews and experiences. Especially on the pros and cons of both ways.
