I love make-up, but my mom disapproves?
Ok, so first let me get one thing straight: My mom allows me to wear make-up every day, to own make-up, to experiment with make-up, ect. I keep all my products in plain view by my mirror and wear bold make-up to school ever day, and the only time she ever comments is to say it looks nice occasionally. She allows it, but it's clear she disapproves. Despite her sometimes complimenting it, she's said she wishes I'd spend time on something less vain. I'm not being vain with it; it's an art! In fact, when i do my make-up my goal isn't to look pretty, it's to look unique and stand out. But I can do pretty looks. i can do just about any look you ask me to, and I think there's a good possibility I may someday have a career as a make-up artist. But there's always the problem of the mother. I've become quite experienced with make-up, and I want to invest in getting more products, and higher-quality ones too. I think it's time I start to really take off with this. So my question is...should I begin to really take action with my art knowing my mom thinks it's a potentially harmful hobby, or should I take time now with other art I don't like quite as much and look more into this later in life? Because i feel like it's now or never. If I decide to go for it, tomorrow I'm heading to the store to get more make-up, and I'm getting a Youtube account so i can start a beauty channel. If I decide to not go for it...then tomorrow I'll do my usual routine and leave it at that for at least a couple years, or until I can convince my mom of the true art I see make-up as. @whyneed2know Did I not say i can do just about any look? i can do colorful pastels, I can do light nude, I can do a look where it's next to impossible to tell one is even wearing make-up. And my mom only disapproves because she thinks it's a vain art.

Maybe not you underneath have gotten these services done, but many of my brides get brazilian waxes before their wedding, have their hair & make up done professionally, work out to lose weight, and try to diet. Three of my closest friends have their own business' and are in the wedding world as well... the waxer, caterer, and baker. I already partner with them and we do many weddings together... so why not add in other services? My goal is to have a studio/store/spa for women who are getting married or going to a big event! No I will not manage them all, as I only specialize in photography, but I will get a percentage of each business for advertising and investing. The majority of my clients I receive from expos spend over 50K for their weddings... so I honestly believe it may be something they would enjoy.
