I bought a new foundation today (first time ever) and need some how-to-apply tips!?
I bought Cover Girl True Blend Powder Foundation for Medium/Light skin. It's supposed to be a healthy, mineral kind. I'm fifteen and this is my first foundation. I tried applying a little bit and it didn't make much of a difference. But it did cover up a zit.
I was hoping it would make my cheeks a little lighter and reduce the redness. How do I apply it to do that? Someone told me that if you get your skin wet first, it goes on a little darker and covers up redness more. Is that really true?
Please give tips on applying foundation (specifically with covering up the redness)! Thanks!

First time wearing makeup? How to apply? Tips?
Ok so im 16 and leaving school this year. I want to start wearing SUBTLE make up :) I have brown eyes, brown hair and my eyelashes are pretty long and dark already. My skin is light, kinda pale but not too pale. I want the make up to bring out my good features but I dont want it to be obviously there.
