How much of what livestock eat ends up in their flesh, and in our meat at the grocery store?
cattle eat a protein feed that is made out of rendered livestock animals, fecal matter, some of them diseased, some animals are road kill. The rendering business will take anything you got that is organic material. Rendering starts with a grinding up of this material, then a high heat cooking which produces a layer of fatty material. This fatty material is sold to soap and cosmetic manufacturers, and what is left is a protein based powder that livestock feed is made out of. Some feedlot operators buy chicken litter(feces) to fatten up their herds, or face the reality of having to sell off many heads of cattle. It isn't legal to feed chud-chewing animals to chud-chewing animals anymore, yet the major practice of livestock owners waste removal is to take it to a renderer. This is what the food of peoples food eats. Do livestock carry this junk in their flesh, which we later eat?
